“White False Indigo”
The elegant vertical spikes of creamy white “sweet pea” flowers towering over a dense mound of sea-green foliage makes this EASY, robust and long-lived perennial a choice accent plant, especially for the wildflower garden. Becoming more spectacular with age (2-3 years), “white False Indigo” will form an attractive lupine-like clump to 3’ across, wowing you with its spring to summer bloom. The long spikes of black seed pods which follow, are wonderful in flower arrangements. Tolerates poor sandy soil and some drought, but the best show comes from providing rich, well-drained soil.
