| Salvia chiapensis
“Chiapas Sage”
From Chiapas, Mexico comes this lovely bright pink flowering Salvia. The flowers are super-cute with fuzzy heads & eye-catching color. Salvia chiapensis has glossy green leaves, grows to about 3’ x 3’ & blooms in Fall through Winter. Found growing at an elevation of 7,000-9,500’ in moist habitats. It’s not exactly drought tolerant like most salvias, but does best with regular water. Cut back hard in spring for fresh growth. Adored by hummingbirds.
