Lobelia cardinalis
This beautiful US native wildflower has flowers that are show-stopping red. It forms a 1’ wide rosette for the first few months and then in the Summer sends up 2-3’ stems that open to intense red flowers. Normally found in moist areas of North America, it would grow well next to a pond or in a part of the garden that regularly gets watered. The red flowers are hummingbird magnets!
