Campanula
prenanthoides
Native to much of California but uncommon, this sweet little harebell
or bluebell grows naturally in dry shade & can reach up to 18”
tall. Charming, pendulous, flaring, blue bells are held on upright stems
above toothed leaves. The style (that thing that pokes out of the center),
interestingly, protrudes way beyond the petals. A nice, little native
for the garden or woodland shade area & big points with Mother Nature!
