Geum quellyon var. flora plena
‘Blazing Sunset’
Superior flower power than any other Geum and with flowers much larger than ‘Mrs. Bradshaw’, Geum ‘Blazing Sunset’ is one of the most carefree and rewarding perennials to have in your garden. Flowering as early as May and in full flower by June, this color machine will continue blooming (especially with deadheading) into Autumn and even Winter in temperate climates. Bright and happy, ruffly and double 2.5-3” scarlet flowers look much like Roses and bounce around on well-branched stems 2-3’ tall. Rarely bothered by pests, including deer, its rough foliar mound is bright green, fuzzy and attractive. Semi-deciduous to deciduous in colder climates.
