“Pretty Face”

I fell in love with this lovely & charming native California member of the Themidaceae family while camping up in the Sierra Buttes. Luckily, it’s EASY TO GROW, requiring only full sun & well-drained soil for maximum happiness. And no water in Summer. Growing to 18” tall, “Pretty Face” bears delightfully sweet umbels of golden yellow, star-shaped flowers striped with purple-brown midribs. Nice mixed with other bulbs & great erupting through a low groundcover like Asperula orientalis “Sweet Woodruff.” Just don’t let other plants block its sun.
