Penstemon eatonii
“Firecracker Penstemon”

Few plants make such a show as a well-grown specimen of “Firecracker Penstemon". Native to the Southwest & into California, Penstemon eatonii grows 2 to 3 ft. tall x 1’ wide & bears, in late Spring, up to
5 erect flower stalks of brilliant red, tubular flowers loved by hummingbirds. The leaves are large & leathery. Good drainage is a necessity as well as fairly dry conditions in Summer. Hardy to 18 degrees F.
