Carex
dipsacea
“Autumn Sedge”
Like a slightly larger version
of Carex testacea- one of the most beautiful of the vast number of
grasses from New Zealand, Carex dipsacea makes highly attractive arching
clumps of slim greenish bronze foliage turning more orangey/red as
it ages. In Summer it bears contrasting black seed heads. To 32”
tall, its wonderful as edging, in mixed beds or in a large container.
