Papaver sp. ‘Greek’

Papaver sp. ‘Greek’ “Greek Poppy” Papaver sp. ‘Greek’ “Greek Poppy”

My favorite red poppy! “Greek Poppy” just gives off “wildfloweryness” more than any other with its multitude of slender stems & profusion of the brightest, truest red flowers over a long period. Plant early & it will form a 20” x 20” mound of fluttering scarlet above neat, almost ferny foliage. Each 2.5” bloom displays showy black spots near the center.   Combine it with Nemophila menziesii “Baby Blue Eyes” or Limnanthes douglasii “Meadow Foam” for wondrous effect!
