Undemanding, versatile and long lived, this well known Geranium species from South Africa blooms almost all year around, with its peak bloom during Summer. The 10” tall, finely cut, silvery-green foliage is very attractive and makes a low, dense, fast-spreading cushion about 2’ around. The flowers are magenta and 1” wide. Geranium incanum grows best in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and is quite drought tolerant, though it looks better with some Summer water. A perfect choice for spilling over a rock wall or terrace and often used in parking strips. Good in a hanging basket, too. Reseeds. Hardy to 28 degrees F.
