Aeonium Garnet Aeonium Garnet

Easy to grow & super drought tolerant – this succulent “shrub” brings rich, sumptuous color to the dry garden. Growing to about 3’ tall & 4’ wide, it forms a dense mound of innumerable green-centered, darkest-burgundy rosettes.  In Spring, older rosettes produce erect, conical, yellow flower spikes much loved by bees. When done blooming, the rosette will die, so feel free to cut it off to make room for new offsets. Excellent in a container, as a mid-bed shrub, or planted in swaths as a resplendent groundcover. Best color in full sun – when placed in shade it tends to be much more green. Provide excellent drainage for a happy, healthy plant.
