Euphorbia characias ‘Dwarf’
Do you love the big, wondrous chartreuse flower heads of Euphorbia characias but it grows just too big for your small garden? This amenable dwarf form grows to only 2.5’ high & wide, fitting well even in the foreground of your beds & is so useful for color creativity! The flowers are just as big as the full-sized version - growing to 16" x 10" - which makes it super-showy! Perfect for parking strips where it won’t get bumped into. Plant in sweeps for a real show stopper. Totally EASY, drought tolerant and not fussy about soil, it’s deer & gopher resistant! Self-sows (or just deadhead if you don’t want the extra volunteers!) When deadheading, cut the entire stem to the base. Provide some shade in hotter areas. Like all Euphorbias, the sap of this plant can be TOXIC to varying degrees. Be sure to protect your eyes, skin & NEVER ingest!
