Juicy blueberry-hued flowers over a compact & tidy evergreenish grey-blue shrublet – YES! There is no reason why this species shouldn’t be in common use, and we hope to push it further into the spotlight. Growing no larger than 2’, the leaves are small & dense & the half-inch white-throated flowers are striking en masse when the plant flowers in the Summer. One of our county Ag inspectors initially brought us a plant to try out & we took her recommendation to heart. We hope you do, too! Amend for drainage in areas with more than average Winter wet. Large containers will also suit this South African beauty just fine. Ms. Muirii will be an awesome companion to the Phlomis clan, Rosemaries & all manner of native & Mediterranean climate perennials & shrubs. Shear lightly after bloom & feed with compost annually for the best show.
