Oenothera caespitosa
“Tufted Evening Primrose”

Oenothera caespitosa “Tufted Evening Primrose”

Sweet citrus-scented bloomy goodness! Deliciously huge, 4” wide fragrant flowers appear en masse Spring through early Summer. Petals age to pink over time. Foliage forms a cute & compact 8” high & 18” wide rosette with attractive lance shaped fuzzy leaves with funky scalloped margins. Native to the desert ranges from Southern California to Eastern Washington & Utah, it likes poor, dry, well-drained soil & heat doesn’t bother it one bit.  Makes an excellent addition to any dry garden!
