Oenothera caespitosa
“Tufted Evening Primrose”
Oenothera caespitosa “Tufted Evening Primrose”

Sweet citrus-scented bloomy goodness! Deliciously huge, 4” wide fragrant flowers appear en masse Spring through early Summer. Petals age to pink over time. Foliage forms a cute and compact 8” high and 18” wide rosette with attractive lance shaped fuzzy leaves with funky scalloped margins. Native to the desert ranges from Southern California to Eastern Washington and Utah, it likes poor, dry, well-drained soil and heat doesn’t bother it one bit.  Makes an excellent addition to any dry garden!
