Pelargonium ionidiflorum “Celery Scented Pelargonium”

Looking for a long blooming plant that would be perfect for a hanging basket? Here’s your gal! Pelargonium ionidiflorum blooms from Spring thru early Winter with 1/2” airy magenta flowers on long red stems & spills attractively out of hanging baskets (or regular pots) perfect as the main thrill or as a supporting role to other plants in the same container. Growing 12-18” & 18-24” wide with lovely lacey green foliage that has a crisp celery-like scent great for potpourri. This South African native makes an excellent groundcover for well-drained gardens, too. In the garden, combine with Calandrinia spectabilis & Verbena bonariensis for a purple-pink layered confection.
