Alstroemeria psittacina

Alstromeria psittacina

Everyone seems to be selling the variegated form of this right now, but I have to be honest, I prefer the regular green one. The variegation seems to clash with the tropical-looking red and green flowers. I think it looks much more lush in green! This is a hardy Alstroemeria, to Zone 5. It makes a great cut flower and hummingbirds love the flowers. To about 3’ tall. This one reportedly spreads less rampantly than some of the other Alstroemerias.
