Dierama dracomontanum

A beautiful & rare “Fairy Wand.” From 3’-4’ tall, this evergreen member of the Iris family bears extra large, deep purple flowers. The sword-like leaves form a growing clump to 3’ across (division is easy for multiplying this rarity). Late Spring to Summer blooming, the pendulous bells are held on numerous upright, arching stems. Evergreen in mild Winter climates, it will go deciduous with extreme cold. Rich, composted soil is best.
