Antirrhinum ‘Canary Bird’

‘Canary Bird’ was introduced to horticulture over fifty years ago, and has excellent vigor. Providing months of deep yellow flowers on strong stems that are great for cutting, this lovely snap grows to 3’ in height (probably not more than one foot wide.) Did you know that in mild climates snapdragons often live over as perennials? I have one in my garden that’s at least 3 years old and still putting forth blooms. This bird would be a superb companion to Delphiniums blues! Rich soil is best, with average water. Avoid overhead watering if you are worried about rust issues, and deadhead to prolong flowering.
