A totally excellent plant for shade & a rare, desirable color, too! Meconopsis cambrica bears 3”, bright, shiny, single red poppy flowers on elegant 8” upright stems, with pretty, emerald green foliage all through the Summer. It’s tap-rooted, so it’s reliably perennial - although ‘Rubra’ may not survive a wet, warm winter in the ground, it will do very well in a container. Reseeds. Hardy to -10 degrees F.
