Silene diocia
(Syn: Melandrium rubrum)
My favorite new (to me) plant in 1994- this evergreen perennial looks good all year around & has been blooming for 12 months straight. It makes a nice 12’ mound with very dark green oval leaves - a nice contrasting shape with more airier plants. From spring thru fall, it produces numerous 8” strong upright stems, 10-20 at a time topped with bright pink 3/4” flowers which last for months.
