Salvia forskaohlei
A beautiful & hardy Salvia that
thrives in pt. shade. Native to Bulgaria & the Mediterranean, this
tough guy makes whorls of widely spaced, but very showy, violet-blue,
two-lipped flowers on long stems with white streaks and yellow markings
on the lower lip. The foliage of dark green, thick leaves, makes a large,
ground covering, basal clump 2’ x 2’. The total height is about 40”.
Loamy, well-drained soil for best show. Add some compost once a year.
