Lewisia
cotyledon
‘Blue Purple’
Absolutely
beautiful! Our own Northern California native, Lewisia isn’t
hard to grow here - they love rock gardens or to be planted in
clay pots with some gravel added to the mix (since they require
good drainage). The 10” stems bear large, extremely showy
clusters of 1,” funnel shaped flowers in Spring & Summer.
The foliage is prized for its fleshy leaves borne in tidy little
rosettes. I top-dress the soil with gravel once a year. |
