Erythrina arborescens

A shorter, shrubbier “Coral Tree” with immense orangey-red flowers & a prickly trunk. To 10’ tall (probably as wide), & it’s described as being suitable for container culture, though I’m assuming that the container would have to be pretty big. Leaves are broad & green, & sometimes absent during flowering. No details are available about bloom time, or hardiness. Like all “Coral Trees” it is likely a traffic stopper, & all Erythrinas have flowers that are abundant with nectar & can really draw a crowd. From the Himalayas.
