Abutilon
indicum
“Sweet Mallow”
“Monkeybush”
We're big fans of this
Southeast Asian native Abutilon. We like it for its form,
toughness, long bloom season and its soft, silvery green,
heart-shaped foliage. Quick growing to 4’ - 6’
tall, it’s very multi-branching & shrub-like &
blooms from February till July. Small, 1”, soft, peachy-yellow,
shallow Abutilon blooms are borne abundantly throughout the
season, followed by interesting seed heads. Loamy soil is
best.
