| Coreopsis auriculata nana ‘Elfin’
“Dwarf Mouse-eared Tick-seed”
A tough, sunny perennial with lots of cheer, Coreopsis auriculata nana ‘Elfin’ will actually spread by stolons into a tough, 6” tall groundcover. Blooming in late Spring with golden yellow killclassic Coreopsis flowers to 2” across, it prefers either full sun with regular water or part shade. ‘Elfin’ is distinguished from the species by being a longer bloomer. Rich soil is preferred. Long lived, it is easy to grow, & non-invasive, but also easy to divide up & plant around in different places, as it’s one of those hospitable, useful plants that tolerates disturbance & knows how to share! The deep green leaves will bronze with Winter cold, too!
Re-blooms if dead-headed.
