Calamagrostis brachytricha
“Korean Feather Grass”
Grown for its tall, beautiful flower heads
“Korean Feather Grass” Makes a wonderful accent plant or container grass and
is very effective planted in groups for the larger garden. The soft feather
plums begin with a strong purple-red tint, fading to silvery-cream. The
plumes last well into winter, and make pretty cut flowers fresh or dried, as
they don’t close up like many other plume-grasses. Easy to grow, it
tolerates many soil conditions, though it does best in fertile soil. A big
asset in lightly shaded boarders, since it will bloom in a considerable
amount of shade unsuitable for Pennisetum “Fountain Grass”.
