'Coastal Form'
“California poppy”
Eschscholzia maritima, my favorite California poppy is this long-blooming form that grows on the coast. Lovely-bluish foliage makes a neat mound 6”-8” tall by 1' spread. Flowers are upright on short stems-clear yellow with an orange center. This poppy keeps its neat look and its flowers spring thru fall-much longer than other California poppies. Would be nice and unusual for edging, dry gardens, and parking strips. Reseeds!
