"Borage"
Borago officinalis
OK, so it’s a weed - but a beautiful weed, don’t you
think? It volunteered in my garden & I rediscovered what a nice
plant it is. Half inch, very blue, star-shaped flowers are
produced in clusters almost continuously. Leaves are sometimes used
as a coolant in drinks & the flowers are edible & can be used
to garnish wine. Since ancient times Borage has been regarded as having
a wonderful effect on mind & body. Full sun, 2’ - 3’ tall. Any soil. Reseeds.
