Verbascum hybrid
‘Southern Charm’
Beautiful and rates a 10! In
anybody’s garden! EASY, DROUGHT TOLERANT, DEER PROOF, SNAIL PROOF, GOOF PROOF,
and did I say beautiful already? Hard to come by, this variety of V. phoeniceum
freely produces elegant, 2’ branching spikes of peachy-apricot or sometimes
pinky-apricot “Mullein” flowers with fuzzy, purple eyes. One of those wonderful
plants that makes you feel very successful even though you’ve done absolutely
nothing! It’s perennial too! After the blooms are finished, cut back for a
repeat show. Hey, it’s not fussy about soil either, and loves the sun but does
well in part shade too. Nice cut flower.
To 3’ tall.
