Thalictrum rochebrunianum
“Lavender Mist”

Thalictrum rochebrunianum “Lavender Mist” Thalictrum rochebrunianum “Lavender Mist”

Arguably, the finest member of the genus! This Columbine cousin bears exceptionally showy, large, branching sprays of lavender flowers, set off by very prominent anthers in contrasting yellow. Unlike other Thalictrums, this one has nice, sturdy & upright purple-black stems & so NEEDS NO STAKING. Growing to 4’ tall, the foliage is a quite attractive, lacey, blue-green. Blooms generally in Summer or late Summer to early Fall. May take a few years to establish blooming size plants, but definitely worth the wait! Loamy moist soil is best.
