Oenothera pallida "White Evening Primrose"

Oenothera Pallida "White Evening Primrose"

All I have to do is stick a “Smell Me” sign in our sample pot of this beautiful primrose and plants start flying out the door here at the nursery. If you smelled its sweet almond-lotion fragrance, you would succumb, too! Easy, fast and long-blooming – Spring to end of Summer – its large, 3.5” flowers stay open all day, too. Purest white and centered with a lime green eye, the scalloped flowers appear on branching and trailing stems forming a groundcover 1' to 2' tall and to 3' across. Nice linear blue green foliage. Native to rocky sandy soils of the Western half of the U.S. , it easily adapts to moist rich garden soil. Cut back severely in Fall.
