Nicotiana mutabilis

When I first saw this fabulous Flowering Tobacco from Brazil, I knew it was perfect for my garden which is tres "cottagey." Growing to 4' tall & very multi-branching, it bears an airy mass of almost 1" flowers which start off pure white, turn to pale pink, then age to rose pink, so you get all the colors on the plant at the same time. Hummingbirds love it & it makes an attractive cut flower for mixed bouquets. Mine is now planted in front of Nicotiana langsdorfii (lots of little green bells) and next to a dark purple Aquilegia (Columbine). A living bouquet! Reseeds!
