Lewisia cotyledon 'Yellow Form'
This beautiful & rather rare selection of our California native bears a heavenly shade of soft, peachy-yellow, single blooms in Spring & Summer. Lewisias are not hard to grow here - they love rock gardens, stone walls or to be planted in clay pots with some gravel added to the mix (since they require good drainage). The 6 to 10 stems form showy clusters of the 1 flowers. The foliage is prized for its fleshy leaves held in tidy, little rosettes. I top dress the soil with gravel once a year.
