Impatiens mengtzseana

Impatiens mengtzseana

I wish I had a dress the color of these beautiful Impatiens flowers. The soft, golden, orchid-like blooms are brushed pale apricot & appear all summer above the creeping, ground-covering foliage. The flowers & the fresh green foliage contrast nicely with the deep red, multi-branching stems. From China & brought to us by “Mr. Impatiens,” this extremely rare species is a treat for those of us beguiled by Balsams. Said to be hardy to Zone 9, but still new to cultivation.
