EASY, rare & delightful! Native only to the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, this terrific Impatiens species thrives in our mild Bay Area weather! To about 2’ tall & 2’ across, it’s an excellent performer bearing a multitude of fascinating bright scarlet, hooded blooms. Typical, rich green Impatiens foliage. Perennial here, it also self-sows. Rich, moist soil is best. Cut back if it gets scraggly, for lush renewal.
