Impatiens glandulifera 'Wine Red'

Ray Brown, owner of Rare Plants Nursery & garden in Devon, England, has come up with this new selection of “Policeman’s Helmet.” The very large flowers are “darkest burgundy” & dangle at the ends of multi-branching stems. It’s a big plant - 3’ to 4’ tall, extremely easy & fast growing. Impatiens glandulifera prefers bright shade or part shade (morning sun is OK) & rich, loamy soil. Reseeds easily, so you’ll have fresh plants every year!
