Gilia capitata "Blue Thimble Flower"Gilia capitata "Blue Thimble Flower"

One of our easiest to grow & charming native wildflowers. “Blue Thimble Flower” blooms profusely April thru July, displaying densely held, ball shaped clusters of medium to bright blue flowers on upright stems, 8” - 10” tall. Attractive, finely cut foliage appears mostly at the base of the plant. One of the best natives for ATTRACTING BUTTERFLIES, it also needs no Summer water once established & will readily self-sow, giving you fresh, new plants every Spring. Combine this Gilia with our native “Tidy Tips” or “Pink Ribbons” for a memorable display. Full sun provides best display. Reseeds!
