Echium gentianoides

Another extremely rare & endangered Echium from the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. Stunningly beautiful in flower, it bears large, deep blue, tubular flowers on good-sized spikes. It grows as a multi-branching shrub to 5’ tall & has unusual (for the genus), smooth foliage. Average to poor, well-drained soil is best.
