Echinops ritro ruthenicus

A superb ornamental for just about any garden. Tough, easy, drought tolerant & deer proof, this is one beautiful plant that looks good in & out of bloom. Deepest, dark blue globes are held on strong, multi-branching stems to 3’ tall in mid-Summer to Fall. This plant is much loved for its amazing, pure silvery white stems & stand-out, interesting foliage, which keeps a silvery sheen. E. ruthenicus will grow in poor to average garden soil & is a great butterfly attractor. Excellent as a fresh (or dried) cut flower, too!
