Dipogon lignosus "Cape Sweet Pea"

Here by the coast, this South African native makes a beautiful & smallish evergreen vine, 6’-10’ tall. Blooming from April to October, it bears attractive purply-pink pea flowers in clusters of 3 to 6. The foliage is attractive gray-green & heart-shaped. Extremely easy to grow in most soils, it may go deciduous during heavy frosts.
