Datura metel 'Black Currant Swirl'

Insanely stunning, everyone must grow this gorgeous Datura at least once, even though it’s an annual. Very fragrant, triple, swirling, flaring petals are lavender above & rich purple beneath, forming a flower head 5”-6” across & beautifully held above a long, rich purple base. Gorgeous black stems & attractive blue-gray foliage, too. Multi-branching to 5’ in areas with warm nights, it is shorter in stature – 1’-2’ – here in our foggy Bay Area. Having this bloom is a delirious thrill! Grows well in a pot, just give it rich soil, average water & part sun in cool Summer areas or AM sun/bright shade in hotter zones.
