Freesias are just so easy to love! They’re long flowering, superbly fragrant & they make such nice cut flowers! This species is very reminiscent of Freesia alba, but with a soft lemon colored spot in the middle of the lower petal & unobtrusive maroon streaks here & there. Freesia fucata is a Winter bloomer & the flowers are lovely for posies! Tolerant of most soils, a dry summer dormancy is preferable. This species is quite uncommon & not easy to come by! Height to 8 inches.
