STUNNING large, almost white, powdery oval leaves to 5” long would create a thrilling look even if this very rare shrub/small tree Eucalyptus never bloomed... but then it does - with enchanting, HUGE blooms (most often red, but sometimes pink) to 7” across! You want hummers? You’ll get hummers! Growing to a multi-branching size of only 8’-10’ tall/wide, it’s so worth trying to find a place for it in a low-water garden. Although it can grow into a somewhat erratic shape, it takes quite readily to pruning & can be easily coaxed into a single-trunked small tree. Adaptable to moist soils, but do add amendments to solid clay soil. Great cut flowers with menthol-scented foliage. Hardy to 20°F.
